Class Introduction

Youshi Chinese series courses are based on the theory and research of pedagogy and teaching psychology for children and adolescents, refer to the overall knowledge goal of Chinese primary school Chinese, integrate the educational concept of "subject Chinese", and aim at the Chinese learning motivation and psychology of overseas Chinese students. and learning characteristics, summarizing nearly 10 years of overseas Chinese teaching practical experience, compiled by the professional teaching and research team and first-line outstanding teachers.


Youshi Chinese series textbooks are divided into children's edition and elementary school edition. The design idea is scientific and rigorous, and the writing concept is novel and fashionable. According to the language learning and psychological characteristics of Chinese students at various stages, select topics that are close to life, add real corpus, and integrate Chinese culture and Chinese elements, so that students can extensively dabble in literature, history, geography, science, art and other fields while learning language Knowledge. On the basis of improving listening and speaking skills, focus on breaking through difficulties in reading and writing to achieve a balanced and comprehensive development of language abilities.


The 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th volumes of Youshi Chinese Primary School Edition are based on the characteristics of the mental development of children aged 7-8. The whole process adopts "topic-based" teaching, starting with the input of words and clauses, through interesting exercises and Activities, stimulate and maintain students' interest in Chinese learning, help students master the basic knowledge of Chinese from the shallower to the deeper, broaden their cognitive horizons, and lay a solid foundation for future learning and application.


Youshi Chinese Elementary School Edition Volume 2 has 10 lessons in total, and each lesson has eleven teaching modules and practice sections:

"Listening and Listening Lecture Hall" to help students learn new words and sentences;

"You say what I say", practice sentence patterns in specific situations, and use new words;

"Export into words", cultivate students' language organization ability and sentence expression awareness;

Hello everyone, my name is Lily wei, you can call me teacher lily, I am Chinese, but now I live in Canada, I have been teaching Chinese courses at Youshi International Chinese School for more than 7 years. I like doing gals, playing the piano, reading, watching movies, traveling, and meeting new people.

I'd love to help you learn Chinese, I'm a language learner myself and have been reading in English, so I know what it's like to be in your position. My goal is to make "classroom" fun for you or your child and help you speak, listen, write and read Chinese with ease. The youngest student I have taught is 4 years old and the oldest is 60 years old. I can say that I have taught students of all ages.


I have 8 years of university teaching experience and 13 years of overseas Chinese teaching experience. I started teaching Chinese students of all levels in Canada in 2011. Mainly for children, so I have the ability to be competent for various types of Chinese teaching.

In the classroom, I like to teach through drawing, acting, gestures or language games. The children enjoy the fun classroom atmosphere I bring to them. The students I have taught say that my classroom is very interesting and they have many opportunities Speak Chinese.


I like to communicate with students in Chinese as much as possible, and use the situation to encourage students to speak Chinese. If the students can't understand, I will use simpler sentences and slower speed.
