Lily Wei

Hello everyone, my name is Lily wei, you can call me teacher lily, I am Chinese, but now I live in Canada, I have been teaching Chinese courses at Youshi International Chinese School for more than 7 years. I like doing gals, playing the piano, reading, watching movies, traveling, and meeting new people.

I'd love to help you learn Chinese, I'm a language learner myself and have been reading in English, so I know what it's like to be in your position. My goal is to make "classroom" fun for you or your child and help you speak, listen, write and read Chinese with ease. The youngest student I have taught is 4 years old and the oldest is 60 years old. I can say that I have taught students of all ages.

I have 8 years of university teaching experience and 13 years of overseas Chinese teaching experience. I started teaching Chinese students of all levels in Canada in 2011. Mainly for children, so I have the ability to be competent for various types of Chinese teaching.

In the classroom, I like to teach through drawing, acting, gestures or language games. The children enjoy the fun classroom atmosphere I bring to them. The students I have taught say that my classroom is very interesting and they have many opportunities Speak Chinese.

I like to communicate with students in Chinese as much as possible, and use the situation to encourage students to speak Chinese. If the students can't understand, I will use simpler sentences and slower speed.

You are welcome to try my class. I will test your Chinese level for free, and make a learning plan together, as well as learning goals and your way of class.
